Filld sends appointment-related SMS messages to patients on behalf of dental practices. When an appointment becomes available due to a cancellation, patients who have opted into their practice's waitlist are notified via text message about the newly available slot. Messages are strictly transactional and appointment-related only — no marketing or promotional messages are ever sent.
Patients are added to a practice's fill pool only after providing explicit consent through one of the following methods:
When visiting their dental practice, patients are presented with a Communication Consent Form that includes clear SMS opt-in language:
Some practices collect consent through their patient intake forms or patient portal. The digital consent form collects the patient's mobile number and requires explicit checkbox selection before submission:
The patient's mobile number is only added to the practice's active fill pool after the signed consent form or digital consent is on file. Dental practice staff manually add the patient to the waitlist through the Filld dashboard, confirming consent has been obtained.
